Why build with a venture studio?
If you have the drive to build something real, you have options. Here's an honest look at what a venture studio is, and when it's the right one.
A studio doesn't just support startups. It builds them with you.
A venture studio creates companies from the ground up, together with founders. Rinda puts its own team, product, design and go-to-market on the line as an operational co-founder.
Studio, VC, alone, or a program
A venture studio comes in from the idea or day one of building. Unlike a venture capital investor or a fixed accelerator program, it builds and owns the company with the founder.
Why Rinda specifically
Rinda is thesis-led but sector-open and looks for exceptional solo or very early-stage founders building AI-native, scalable technology around a real problem.
FAQ for founders
Getting started
Do I pay you anything?
No. We don't charge founders fees. We invest our own time, team and work, and we take equity in return. You never write us a cheque.
Do I need a registered limited company (AB) before we start?
No. You don't need an AB, or any company, before we talk. Setting up the right structure is part of what we do together, and often one of the first things we do. If a company already exists, even better, we'll work with what's there.
What stage do you work with?
From an idea on a napkin to a company with early traction that needs an operational partner. If you're exceptional and early, we want to hear from you.
Do I need to be based near you?
No. We work with founders wherever they are. The one thing that matters to us is being able to meet in person now and then, building together works best face to face, so we'll want to get in the same room with you regularly.
Money & ownership
Do you just advise, or do you do the work?
We do the work. We're operational co-founders: we build the product, do the go-to-market, hire and fundraise alongside you. That hands-on building is what we put in.
How much of my company do you take?
It depends on the path and how early we come in, the earlier and the more we build, the larger the share. We agree it openly before any work starts, and we keep it fair enough that future investors don't blink at your cap table.
How much will I own after we raise a seed round?
You stay the majority owner. When we raise, we dilute alongside you rather than protecting ourselves at your expense, and we keep the cap table clean so seed investors are glad to come in.
Who owns the idea and the IP?
The company does, and you're a founder of that company. We structure it so the IP sits cleanly inside the business we build together, which is exactly what later investors want to see.
How we work together
What do you actually do while we build?
The real work, not slideware. Product and engineering, design, go-to-market, pricing, hiring the first people, setting up the company, and running the raise. You spend your time on the two things only a founder can do: deciding and selling.
Who makes the decisions while we build together?
You do, you're the founder. We're opinionated co-founders and we'll push hard when we disagree, but it's your company and your call. We agree up front how we handle the rare deadlock, so it never turns into a mess.
Do I hand over my company to you right away?
No. You're the founder and you lead. We come in as co-founders and share ownership, we don't take your company from you. Ownership and roles are agreed up front, in writing, before we start.
Are you still involved after the seed round?
Yes. We don't build you up and disappear. How closely we stay involved depends on the company and what it needs, more hands-on early, lighter as you find your feet, but we stay in your corner either way. We'll work out the right level together as we go.
Choosing us
What's the difference between a venture studio and an incubator or accelerator?
An incubator or accelerator runs you and a group of other startups through a program of mentoring and workshops, then hands you a demo day. A studio doesn't run a program, it becomes your co-founder. We do the actual building with you, share ownership, and stay long after any demo day would have ended.
What happens if we can't work together the way I want?
We'd rather find that out early than pretend otherwise. We start every relationship with a clear, written agreement on how we work, who does what, and how we part ways if we need to. If it isn't working, we handle it honestly and cleanly, no drama, no hostage-taking.
Can I use a company form other than an AB, like a non-profit association?
Talk to us. We build scalable, investable companies, and for most of what we do a limited company (AB) is the right vehicle. If your mission points to another form, we'll look at it honestly and tell you straight whether it fits how we build and fund.
Why work with Rinda and not another venture studio?
Because we're operators, not spectators. Three people who've built, invested in and shipped real companies, and who do that work with you from day one, not from a board seat. We're selective on purpose, so when we say yes, you get all of us. And we promise to have fun while we do it. We care about people and about the world, and we believe you can build a successful company and a sustainable life at the same time.
